Brule River

Douglas

Oct.1 1997

Weather: Cloudy 60
Water: good, clear
Hatches: none
Time: 6am-2pm

Comments: Fished the Brule on Sunday Sep. 28. The river seemed to be in good shape. Between me and my two brothers, we hooked 10 salmon and 1 brown. I ended up landing two cohos and 1 king. The cohos were around 2-3 pounds. The king was 8#. Spawn was primarly the best choice, but I did land a coho on a #4 mepps aglia. My brother landed a nice lake run brown around 24in. We had a real good time. The fish were holding in fast runs that had some depth to them.(2-4ft) The steelies should really start coming in soon. Tight lines and smelly slime!!!
